Southwest Baby Potatoes

I'm the girl who would rather have an extra helping of salty, well-made potatoes than any dessert at all, you feel me? Honestly, at the end of most meals I could do without the sweets. Gimme all the salty carbs.  I've been trying to get more comfortable with various...

Blessed Conviction and Be Thou My Vision

Blessed Conviction and Be Thou My Vision Tim Keller has a quote in a sermon I’ve listened to about fifteen times. He’s talking about a moment that I’d wager all Christians can relate to. In such a moment, a person hears something you’ve heard a countless times before,...

What Does Rosie Eat?

What Does Rosie Eat? We joke all the time that Rosie has the healthiest diet of anyone in our house… but it’s NO JOKE! Rosie receives a diet of what I call “real food”- meat, veggies, fruits, juices, dairy-free milk, occasional GF grains. We blend a combination of...

Why Does Rosie Have a G-Tube? This week being Feeding Tube Awareness Week, I wanted to do a series about our life with a G-Tube. Rosie has had one for almost two years now and we often get questions about this part of our daily lives. During Rosie’s long hospital stay...

My Morning Coffee Routine (with recipe!)

The ketogenic craze is all over the place and at the forefront of it is bulletproof coffee. There are countless ways to get your healthy fat in first thing in the morning, but adding it to your daily coffee is a fan favorite and seems to make the most sense.  I...

The Good, Hard Days

The Good, Hard Days Sporting jammies and wet hair from bath time, my kids were piled up on big brother’s bed. I was holding my new son while he tickled my daughter. They were both giggling at the same time and I melted into a puddle on the floor. It had been an...

The Festering of Negative Self-Talk

About six months ago our lives changed drastically. I was offered a job at a non-profit I’m passionate about. This NP has a vision that I was desperate to align with and the job uses my gifts in unique and fitting ways. I was smitten from the beginning.

On Self Care

You can’t throw a rock on Facebook without hitting an article about self-care, self-love, positive self-talk, and the like. At face value, I think this can seem like an extension of our ME ME ME culture, especially that which comes from social media. I see where that conclusion can be drawn and one might dismiss all these self-things as self-involvedness, but I can’t say that’s where I fall in my thinking about these things.

Onward & Upward

I want you to know that I didn’t go looking for a business opportunity. I’m a mom of a 2 year old with a full therapy schedule, working in a full-time job that has me traveling a lot. I am a person with a heck of a lot of interests and hobbies that keep me busy and engaged with those around me. I’m intentional to actively invest in my husband and our marriage. I didn’t need something else on my plate.
